7. Officers: A question was asked about what would happen now that there is no acting President. Our current president responded: Jim will fill in for Paul Haven until Paul returns. What happens next? Paul will run the meetings in place of a President. If a new President is found a special election can be held to put the individual in office. 8. | 6. COMMITTEE REPORTS: A. Trailmaster: Subsection: Trailmaster Report. Donald Roux - absent > Two trail movements need to be moved > 1 bridge re-decking Subsection: Administrative Update. Steve Perham No trailwork yet. Let us know if you are available to walk the trail. Don should be back by the next meeting for his Trailmaster duties. * Christi Wilson asked, “Are we doing cleanup this year on the trails?” She has people in her class who would be willing to help. A time will need to be set up for this. We will let her know. * Trailwork Sheets for this year. Make sure to use a separate sheet for BRIDGE work, instead of putting it all on one sheet. Subsection: Trailmaster Other. Jim Roux Jim registered the ATV. The registration was needed but could not be found last week. Jim worked the situation out with the registration office. * We need to send out Landowner Permission Sheets to mail. Steve is going to mail out next week. B. Membership Committee: Mike Mosher reported 2 new members: Dr. John Gallant and Peter Hamlyn. Welcome!! We need maps to send to our new members. C. Safety Committee: Don Allaire has gotten an EMT to talk about the first aid section for the upcoming meeting in December. Cindy said she will put the advertisement on channel 12 this year when the time is closer. D. Activities Committee: Denise Roux. No report. E. Scholarship Committee: F. Final Nomination of Officers and Directors: > The secretary was asked to cast the vote. All positions were approved. We all want to welcome the new officers on board or welcome them back! |
| 4. OLD BUSINESS: A. Bridge Project: The soil test was done. >>> B. Insurance: Jim is checking on our liability insurance. C. MSA Raffle Tickets: Jim is drafting up instructions for the membership explaining what is happening (and how to sell) the tickets this year since the MSA has changed the way tickets are sold. Bob Hansen needs help on Sunday, October 5th selling MSA Raffle Tickets.> D. Wal-Mart: Fundraising is one way to help support our club. Discussion followed about going to Wal-Mart for a day or weekend. It was decided if we can sign-up volunteers to assist this project and there is a day we can sell at Wal-Mart, then we will sell tickets. E. Silent Auction: Kathy Beebe and Cindy Roux are currently working on the online ‘silent’ auction. They want us all to watch the site and see what is collected to sell. Some items need to be collected to display. This fundraising activity should attract buyers. This will be like a mini (eBay type) auction. We now have a way to perhaps earn more money. If anyone is interested or if we have some wives to help, we will be able to get this underway! Call Kathy or Cindy for more information. E. Bottles and Cans: We have over $80 in the account so far this week, it was reported. There are more bags that were dropped off at the meeting for the girls this evening. | 5. NEW BUSINESS: A. Maps: We can re-run maps or we can put a committee together to resell the maps. This topic was discussed. Bob is working on getting GPS information for the MSA. >>>Volunteers are needed for help on this project. After meeting sign-up to help. B. Brochures: Advertising in the Maine area for snowmobilers (discounts also apply) has come to our club. You can ask for the brochures or check out these advertiser’s websites. See Jim for this information. C. Pallets: Free on Craig’s list for pallets that are 8’ x 20’. We may have some uses for these. Portland area. Jim and Don Allaire will check on these. |
