| 5. COMMITTEE REPORTS: A. Trailmaster: Subsection: Trailmaster Report. Donald Roux These projects have been finished: Kenny Trail Bridge CMP ~ 2 Bridges Old Post Bridge Moved mobile home bridge Re-route of ½ of hill o New signs at the Vet Center o New signs at Pare Wells Barren Re-route Don has a sheet with the money spent. Don wants to thank everyone who has helped with all of the trail work this season. Saturday cables need to be tightened and the Ruel Bridge can be addressed. Sunday, weather permitting trail work will begin at 8am. CALL FIRST. Subsection: Administrative Update. Steve Perham No Report Subsection: Maintenance Update. Dave Leck No Report. Subsection: Other Items ~ No Report B. Membership Committee: Mike Mosher is out this week but it is reported that we have 40 renewals. 1 new. Welcome to the Oliver’s! C. Safety Committee: Don Allaire cancelled the Safety Meeting due to lack of interest this year. Thank you Don for your hard work on this. D. Activities Committee: Denise Roux was absent this evening. | 6. NEW BUSINESS: A. On the trails: Paul Haven took the members working, to lunch since they had all put in a hard days work. Paul brought up the fact that volunteers that work all day should get lunch for the effort they put in. After discussion was a vote: **Dave made a motion to reimburse Paul for lunch that day, it was seconded and passed with a vote of: 9 in favor, 1 abstain, 1 nay and Paul was unable to place a vote. **A guideline for any meals paid by the club, when out working, would be ‘best judgment’ and a whole day consisting of at least 6 hours or more. . B. International Festival: There is information on the website and Jim has some as well if you are interested. See Upcoming Events C. Riverside Motorgroup: Under new management. Contact them in Caribou at (877) 492-1929. D. Black Mountain of Maine: First annual Sno-Cross Event is scheduled in Rumford on December 15-16th. Call for more information: (207) 364-8977. E. | 1. President, Jim Roux opened with the secretary saying, “Happy Birthday Mr. President!” Jim welcomed everyone and our newest members, Steve, Leigh and Ben. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the meeting began at 7:09 p.m. with fourteen members present. 2. Secretary's Report: Cindy Roux presented the minutes from the November 11th meeting to the membership to read. A motion to accept the minutes as written was made by Dave Leck, seconded, and passed. 3. Treasurer's Report: Lou Forni was absent. Lou’s father has been ill and in the hospital. We all hope things will improve. Jim read the treasurer’s report. Dave Leck made a motion to accept the report as read, which was seconded and passed. |

| 4. OLD BUSINESS: A. Cans and Bottles: Christi Wilson reported that she took $60 from the account holdings from the recycling of bottles and cans and put it to the Scholarship Fund. * Membership would like to know the total amount saved so far. B. MSA Raffle: Jim reported that we still have 396 tickets out. * Tickets to Date: 481 tickets have been sold. 45 tickets have been free. * February 10th, 2008 Drawing: We have until February to sell those tickets. C. Bridge Project: The new bridge grant update: The Maine National Area Program is researching the area. Nothing (at this point) is considered rare. The Maine Historical Research Commission reviewed and concluded that this site is ‘prehistoric’ and a Phase I Survey needs to be done. The Kennebunk Level I archeologist has been contacted and he will be submitting a proposal to the Historical Society. We will pay the cost for this, but it will be covered under the RTP grant, ultimately. This next step cannot be accomplished until the snow thaws in the spring. The State said it would determine in April whether we would be granted the proposed funding for this year. D. Accident: The board recommended to the membership > E. Guidelines for volunteer/paid work on trails: > F. Lebanon Trail to connect: The landowner has given approval and the Lebanon trail will connect the ‘S’ trail. Remember: New Hampshire’s boarder comes quickly when riding this trail. |
